Intern - Supervised
Education: I have a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Hawaii. I’m currently
pursuing a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology in Marriage and Family
Therapy from Chaminade University.
Experience: The majority of my experience comes from the field of Human Resources, of which I’ve
worked since 1998. I’ve worked in various roles, including management, giving me
valuable insight into working with others. In addition to my work experience, I have
struggled with a variety of addictions and have gone through several recovery programs,
from which I’ve learned a lot about myself, the nature of addiction, and recovery. I have
been in recovery since September 2017.
Beliefs: I am a Christian, and I believe that in partnership with the Father and His Holy Spirit, He
can work with whatever we bring to Him to bring about positive change. I also believe
that He endows us with gifts and talents to empower us to make our own choices in life,
and it is these gifts and talents, in addition to our hurts, habits, and hangups, we bring
with us when we step into the therapy session.
It is my belief that when the therapist and client walk into a therapy session, two experts
are present: the therapist, with their expertise in therapy, and the client, who has a vast
story with which they can share. It is the collaboration between the therapist and client
where positive change happens.
Clients: I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, and couples in a wide range of
ages.
Languages: I provide therapy services in English.
Fees: $25/session. At this time I do not accept insurance.
