Out Shine
OutShine's purpose is to support and affirm all those who fall under the transgender umbrella. Discussions range from small to big wins and open to conversations on mental health, transition, sociopolitical concerns, and safety. The group structure is currently tailored to how many and those who show up. It is facilitated by those who are a part of the LGBTQ community.
The group meets Thursday nights on Zoom from 6-7pm
No cost, open to donation for PRCC.

The Brotherhood Project
"Building Connection, Accountability, and Emotional Strength Among Men."
This is a community men's group that was created to provide a space for men to build meaningful connections, strengthen emotional resilience, and foster accountability in their personal lives. This group is non-clinical and is structured but in a relaxed environment where men can engage in open conversations ("talk story"), reflect on life challenges, and develop practical skills for navigating relationships, stress, identity, and purpose.
Sessions are held weekly in the evenings at the PonoRoots Office and led by one of our therapists, Charles "Chuck" Kamai.
Fees are $20.00 per session. Cohorts are 4-6 people, and make an 8-week-long commitment. The next cohort begins the first week of June 2026. If you are interested in learning more or joining, please contact help@ponoroots.org.
